I hardly get any time to watch anything on tv nowadays, but last sunday (i think) when i came home, there was this show '16 and pregnant' on tv. Having nothing else to do, i decided to watch it because i've been seeing the commercials about the show but never had the chance to watch it.
As per the show's title, it's about girls who are only 16 yet they are pregnant. This situation is seen as normal in the West, but it's getting normal here as well, which is not very reassuring indeed. How will things be 10-20 years in the future?
These girls are not even ashamed of their actions. Astaghfirullah.
I think by making a show out of it, the media is supporting them, sort of. Which is worrying, because people nowadays look up at the media, as a guidance, or even worse, as their God. Na'uzubillah.
Kids too are more exposed to these shows. Being kids, they are easily influenced.. Surely we don't want them to follow these girls' steps, right?
